Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate

CCDP Diplomate is the master’s level CCDP credential. This classification is viewed as the title for the individual providing assessment and counseling to clients with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders; who has knowledge and skills specific to both mental and substance use disorders; and assists persons with co-occurring disorders to engage in and maintain a process of recovery. This is an international credential that is recognized throughout the world via reciprocity.

 

CCDP DIPLOMATE REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

One year (2,000 hours) out of the last 7 years of paid, supervised employment providing integrated services to clients with co-occurring disorders.

Master’s degree or higher.

140 hours of education all of which must be integrated and specifically related to the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the tasks within the Co-Occurring Disorders Professional performance domains including 6 in ethics.

100 hours of supervision obtained during employment.

Pass a written exam.

Submission of application, all documentation, and fee.

CCDP Diplomate is a 2 year credential and must be recertified.
