Description of Duties: Primary Job Responsibilities include Substance Abuse Utilization Management for Adults and Children.   Secondary: Utilization Management for Children and Adults as needed.

Responsible for understanding the Behavioral Health Services Delivery System and access to that system, as well as Knowledgebase in Substance Abuse. Work closely with Member, Member’s family, and providers to determine appropriate level of care to meet treatment needs.  Clinical Care Managers are responsible to ensure that treatment delivered is appropriately utilized and meets the Member’s needs in the least restrictive, least intrusive manner possible. Will maintain caseload. Non-Business hour On-call responsibilities as scheduled/needed. 

Qualifications Required: Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or related field, plus Professional License/Certification required.  Previous experience in Substance Abuse treatment services required.  CAC Highly Preferred. Applicants must have a working knowledge of managed care and a basic understanding of the public Medicaid program.  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner required. Qualifications:

LCADC, CADC, or currently enrolled in a credentialing program and submission of the licensing/certification application with the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners and a minimum of 3 years addiction counseling experience.   • Work in cooperation (orally and in writing) with other social service agencies and community organizations to meet the needs of clients and assisting clients in utilizing these resources.
  • Attend trainings and staff development sessions.
  • 24 hour On-call counselor responsibilities, as needed.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned by the Director.
