The Red Rock Job Corps Center seeks a TEAP Counselor. Our campus is located in Lopez near Ricketts Glenn State Park. The Center offers residential and options in career skills, academic and vocational training for young adults from 16-24 years old. TEAP Counselor Coordinates overall Center-wide drug, alcohol and tobacco use, abuse and prevention activities. Develops new and revised programs to prevent alcohol, drug and tobacco use and abuse among the student population. Individually develops and coordinates community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse. Coordinates activities with other Center staff. Assists in identifying students with substance abuse problems and arranges for appropriate treatment. Counsels students individually and in groups on substance abuse. Arranges and conducts structured TEAP prevention groups and related activities. Administers the Center's zero tolerance substance abuse programs and related testing. Administers the 45-day initial positive test recovery program. Assists staff with TEAP referrals. Conducts student and staff training in TEAP issues and strategies. Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
