The Pennsylvania Certification Board is a private, non-profit corporation which offers voluntary state-level credentialing to the substance abuse and other behavioral health professional. The Board, comprised of certified professionals throughout the state, implements standards and testing for certification of addiction counselors, prevention specialists, clinical supervisors, case managers, criminal justice addictions professionals, co-occurring disorders professionals, and auxiliary professionals.

PCB is a proud member of the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).  IC&RC is a non-profit membership organization made up of certifying and licensing agencies throughout the world.  Membership in IC&RC requires PCB to adhere to international standards for credentialing to better ensure that only competent professionals are providing addiction services to clients.  PCB's membership in the IC&RC also ensures that those holding an international credential through PCB will, in most cases, enjoy the benefit of reciprocity which affords the certified professional the ability to transfer their PCB credential to another state, country or nation.  The IC&RC also issues an International Certificate to every reciprocally certified professional.
