Summary & Qualifications:
The Community Recovery Specialist (CRS) will provide support to Participant’s in the outpatient program.
They will provide 1:1 peer counseling during treatment and aftercare support for one year following completion of the program. The recovery specialist is responsible (along with other team members) for establishing a therapeutic milieu that promotes the engagement of the Participant’s in the treatment process. The specialist is responsible for observing Participants behavior and documenting observations. The community recovery specialist will provide telephonic, mail and home based support to Participant’s. Specialist will conduct interviews within the prison and develop transition plans for Participants reentering the community.
Certificate for Certified Peer or Recovery Specialist Required
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
12 college credits in Behavioral Health/Human Services preferred.
Must be computer literate and possess strong de-escalation skills.
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) desired.
One year experience working with Participant’s desired.
