Gateway Rehab Center, a leader in chemical dependency treatment, seeks applicants for a
full time Director of Nursing position for our Detox/Nursing unit in Aliquippa (Center Township) which is located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
• Develops and evaluates policies/procedures for Nursing services and medication administration
• Develops plans and procedures to assess and improve the quality of Nursing services throughout the system
• Determines appropriate Nurse staffing needs
• Develops and directs Gateway’s Infection Control Program
• Provides administrative oversight of the Nursing staff and services
• Develops and evaluates Gateway’s employee health programs and patient health education
• Maintains working knowledge of and assures nursing services are in compliance with regulatory and licensing bodies
• Monitors detox census with the goal of meeting or exceeding average daily census projections in conjunction with appropriate staffing
• Prepares and monitors Nursing services budget
• Coordinates medical staff, laboratory, and pharmaceutical services
• Schedule may include some evening and weekend hours. Will also provide coverage for nursing services as needed.
• Pennsylvania RN licensure required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health related field required, Master’s degree preferred
• Supervisory or administrative experience required; preferably in mental health and/or drug and alcohol field
• Acute care experience required
• Strong computer skills, oral and written communication skills, and organization skills required
