HSA Counseling is Lancaster County’s Oldest Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Treatment Provider HSA Counseling is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Substance Abuse Treatment Program. Our Services Include Drug & Alcohol Evaluation and Referral, Traditional Outpatient Treatment including Individual and Group Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment. All levels of care include Family Treatment Components. We offer a Christian based track for those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We also offer medication assisted treatment (Suboxone) for clients with an opiate dependence diagnosis who meet medical necessity criteria as determined by our physicians.

Responsibilities

A Clinical Supervisor works under the supervision the Executive Director; and is responsible to: Supervise and assist clinicians within the framework of the policies and procedures as approved by the Board of Directors in order to ensure quality services are provided to all clients as well as oversee day to day operations of the clinical department. The Clinical Supervisor will also ensure that clinicians deliver all services and act in a manner consistent with the rules of conduct as outlined in the policy and procedure manual and adheres to the ethical standards as publicized by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.

Qualifications

Must meet one of the following:
• Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other related field and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent person.
• Associate Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or the human services) or other related field and 4 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent person.
• Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body which is a member of a National certification body or certification by another state government’s substance abuse counseling certification board and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent person.
• The individual shall also complete a Department approved core curriculum training which includes a component on clinical supervision skills.
