My Sister’s Place is a comprehensive, medically monitored short- and long-term residential treatment program serving Philadelphia county’s women and their children who are dually diagnosed (non-psychotic), pregnant, parenting, or working towards reunification. Women admitted may be addicted to any drug but must be at least 18 years old in need of medication assisted or non-medication assisted treatment. Length of stay is up to one year with a capacity of 22 mothers and 30 children. Number of children admitted is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on available space available. Children admitted must be no more than 6 years old. All possible admissions must have a current PPD TB Test; complete physical preferred. Services provided include medical and obstetrical care, referral for HIV/AIDS counseling and testing, life skills, parenting classes, developmental groups for children, parent-child activities, child care services, relapse prevention, 12-step meetings, support for abused women, individual, group, and family counseling, enhanced case management services, coordination with children’s pediatricians, mindfulness based parenting classes and parent reunification assistance. Clients are referred off-site for GED, literacy, and vocational training.

Responsibilities

Primary Functions:
The Clinical Supervisor (CS) will be responsible for the management and/or supervision of all intakes, admissions, utilization reviews for pregnant and/or parenting women seeking treatment at My Sister’s Place. CS may fill the responsibilities of the Primary Counselor in the absence of the Primary Counselor. CS may also serve as primary counselor to a maximum caseload of four clients during the orientation period performing all the duties of the Primary Counselor as well as those of Intake Counselor. CS will need to possess excellent organizational and management skills. CS will work closely and collaboratively with the Residential Director in achieving the goals and objectives of the program. CS will assume program responsibilities in the absence of the Residential Director.
Essential Functions:
• The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is responsible for all outreach, triage, and assessment at intake as well as supervising all assessment and reporting to the funding sources for treatment authorization. The CS will oversee the intake process is completed properly by the case manager. The CS will be responsible to oversee the completion of all utilization reviews for all MSP clients in a timely fashion meeting all funding sources (s) requirements. Completed authorizations must be communicated to the Business Manager of MATER.
• Ensure counselors monitoring of charts during supervision and through quarterly audits of all charts for timeliness; on-going monitoring of all clinical documents demonstrating an understanding and integration of the DBH Practice Guidelines and DOH standards and regulations.
• The CS serves as a clinical resource for the dual-diagnosed and non-dual-diagnosed clients. The CS will provide weekly individual/group supervision to all clinical staff (counselors and case manager); weekly supervision with Residential Director; coordinating daily de-briefing meetings; and coordinating and facilitating weekly team meeting in conjunction with Residential Director.
• The CS will supervise the completion of all preliminary intake paperwork, including psychosocial assessment, initial and (first) comprehensive treatment plan for all new clients. All clinical documentation must be done in accordance with program regulations and regulatory agency requirements. All clinical notes are to be recorded on the ROS by the Administrative Assistant and all clinical documentation is to be submitted to the CS by, Tuesday of the following week, unless otherwise required by DOH.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in social work, chemical dependency, psychology, counseling, or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting. LCSW, LPC, or CAC preferred. Three years experience in the field of human services with an emphasis on women-centered substance abuse treatment experience in working with managed care organizations and the authorization process.
