What We Need:
To facilitate and accelerate the aggressive growth that RCA is experiencing we are seeking a Financial Counselor that will provide financial counseling to patients and families in accordance with the facility’s policies, assist patients/families with financial arrangements including financial assistance.

What You’ll Do:
• Answer all phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Review and answer all patient correspondence, via phone, mail, administration, and offices.
• Create and approve payment arrangements; reviews with patient different payment options and possible financing options.
• Meet with patient/family to obtain satisfactory payment agreement for all parties.
• Review patient charges; evaluates patient’s assets and liabilities to determine patient payment schedules.
• Ensure patient demographic and insurance information is correct in the computer system.
• Document all payment arrangements in the computer database.
• Document all patient contact in the computer system.
• Prepare patient itemized bill upon request; explain charges, payments and adjustments.
• Monitor patient accounts; initiates collection procedures when appropriated.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:
• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Education in accounting or related business field preferred.
• Two years experience required in medical billing, collections or insurance.
