Diakon Child, Family & Community Ministries offers a comprehensive range of services that aid children, at-risk youths, families, adults of all ages, and even entire communities. Responsible for providing clinical services, with focus in addictions counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Key responsibilities:
o Conducts individual, couple, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
o Coordinates case management on all assigned cases.
o Adheres to the stated practices and guidelines for initial psychosocials, treatment reviews, and terminations in a timely manner.
o Completes reports on a daily basis as required.
o Meets or exceeds required productivity level.
o Adheres to office and Diakon’s standards of practice and caseload.
o Informs supervisor of all "at risk" clinical situations.
o Remains current with trends and issues impacting programming.
Education: A Bachelors degree with major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling or other related field which included practicum in health or human services agency, preferably in drug and alcohol setting required; Masters degree preferred. Certification in Addictions Counseling preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' supervised clinical experience in an outpatient setting normally preferred.
