Responsibilities

The part time clinical in this position will be responsible for providing integrated treatment supporting the needs of both behavioral and physical health care to client of Berks Counseling Center. This would include clinical treatment modalities and supporting documentation. Licensed counselor preferred; bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.

Part-time clinicians are paid a direct service rate commensurate with the clinician’s credentials. Direct service rate levels include: Bachelor’s Level Clinician, Master’s Level Clinician with less than 1 year drug and alcohol experience, Master’s Level Clinician, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, and License Clinical Social Worker. Part-time clinicians are paid an indirect service rate for time worked that is not face to face with a client but is required for the position. Part-time clinician schedules may be up to, but no more than 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related social service field with at least three months direct counseling experience (or relevant Internship) required; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related social service field with at least one year direct experience (which may be inclusive of an internship) required. LSW, LCSW, or LPC applicants with counseling experience in drug, alcohol and/or mental health preferred. CAS a plus. Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.

All offers of employment are contingent upon the following: 1) Receipt of results of a satisfactory drug and alcohol screening test. 2) Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 12 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment, however a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present. 3) Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure. 4) Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
