The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission is accepting applications for 2 full time Certified Recovery Specialist Positions. Position provides services within Armstrong, Indiana and Clarion Counties and in collaboration with local Hospitals and Physical Health Providers. Certified Recovery Specialists provide supportive services to enhance clients’ recovery, to include but not limited to services in the following areas: coordination of care; casework activities; and aftercare. Certified Recovery Specialists are responsible for ensuring outreach, mentoring, peer support and guidance, as well as resource information and referral, for clients in the target population. Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program participants before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery, in understanding and navigating the system of care, as well as to encourage and guide any necessary connections with other service systems.
Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Candidate must have or be able to obtain Act 33, 34 and fingerprint clearances. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain CRS certification within one year of hire.
Schedule is evening and weekends. Employee must be able to attend training during a normal work week, daylight hours.
