Skills of Central PA is currently seeking a part-time Drop in Center Coordinator for the Vines of Hope in Ebensburg.


The Drop in Center Coordinator oversees the operations, quality and continued growth of the Drop-in Center which provides support to individuals with mental health challenges. He/she will promote mental wellness by facilitating opportunities to learn coping and life skills, reducing isolation, and fostering integration into the community. Candidate will coordinate activities, intakes, outreach, schedules, transport individuals within an agency van, and complete administrative reports as needed.


. High School diploma or GED equivalent with Certified Peer/Recovery Specialist Certification and at least 12 months of full-or part-time paid or voluntary work with individuals with mental illness. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or other related field preferred. Human service experience may include facilitating groups; developing consumer-run, self-help activities; providing peer support. Personal experience receiving mental health services and willingness to share that perspective with others within the context of providing peer support. Proven problem-solving skills and abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands. Ability to engage and communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to: Work independently and in a small team environment; Employ tact and diplomacy, exercise good judgment, and act calmly in emergency situations; Work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, and disabilities; and Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions.
