The Lead Nurse is responsible for overseeing all nursing staff in the Opiate Treatment Program. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementing and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Leadership skills should consist of having the ability to train new individuals within their area of supervision for all required functions, work progress and operations. Should be able to carry out all duties connected to evaluation, competencies, patient experience, and institutional quality.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Must have a current RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Three (3) years of RN experience is required; RN experience in the field of addictions preferred. Direct experience working with Methadone is desired, but not necessary. Able to verbalize understanding of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation. Has knowledge and understanding of physical and emotional disease processes, clinical nursing skills, and administration of medications. Basic computer skills required.
