Behavioral Wellness and Recovery of Pennsylvania is looking for a Clinical Director. We are a premier provider of treatment and educational programs for adults who are struggling with chemical dependency and dual diagnosis disorders.
Our facility provides clinically sound, evidence-based treatment options at our centrally located facility in downtown West Chester, Pennsylvania. Our treatment team has a proven track record in helping clients to reclaim and enrich their lives.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the planning and evaluation of clinical programs and services, including plans to increase the array, superiority, and extent of services at BWR. Trouble-shoot clinically-related problems and roll out clinical initiatives that will improve clinical quality to programs in the field, in conjunction with administration and other departments.
• Provides direct patient care, engages in both individual and group supervision with counselors. Provides orientation of new and existing counseling staff to include counseling techniques, group dynamics, family therapy, medical record documentation and treatment plan assessments.
• Delivers lectures and staff workshops and facilitates task groups. Substitutes for counselors, by assuming responsibility for caseloads as directed by the CEO and/or Compliance Official.
• Ensures department and program licensing and accreditation standards are consistently met and assumes responsibility when they are not.
• Creates liaison with community resources as part of a network for continuum of care and provides community education and outreach programs, and coordinates with BWR’s admission, outreach, and marketing departments.
• Monitors clinical quality assurance processes to ensure that all accrediting standards are met, and risk management processes are being followed; and, develops and implements additional recommendations based on the collected data for performance improvement.
• Provides and designates staff to provide on-call 24-hour clinical services.
• Develops a strong professional and productive relationship with the CEO, Compliance Officer, and designees.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field is required
• Must have licensure either as a Licensed Professional Counselor (or, "licensed clinical professional counselors" or "licensed mental health counselors"), (LPC, LAC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, or LSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Must have a PA CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor)
• Experience previously working in residential, in-patient and/or PHP LOC
• 3-5 years in a clinical management role, leadership and managing processes which includes two years of working directly with the chemically dependent. Individual shall also complete a Department approved core curriculum training which includes a component on clinical supervision skills.
• Has working knowledge and experience in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and 12 Step Approaches to treatment and care
• Proven track record of excellent operations performance

Qualifications:

• Must be client focused; team oriented; great interpersonal skills; flexible to sudden changes in workload, emergency or staffing; dependable; problem solving skills; focused on compliance and performance quality.
• Microsoft Office Proficient. Knowledge of addiction and basic management principles.
• Must be able to work in collaboration with other health professionals and leaders from other disciplines in a professional and productive manner.
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Travel:

• Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
