Faith-based family health care center seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Behavioral Health Therapist who has experience helping clients that are battling drug and alcohol abuse. The Behavioral Health Therapist provides psychotherapy/therapeutic interventions to patients with a variety of mental health diagnoses including substance use disorders, and assists patients with social work issues. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinical/psychosocial assessments, referrals and clinical treatment to patients. Coordinates and plans programs and activities to meet the patient’s social and emotional needs. Collaborates with other members of ELFHCC’s behavioral health team, and medical providers to provide co-management activities for patients who require additional services. Works closely with providers/ assists with programming issues related to the Medication Assisted Treatment program. Facilitates groups. Develops treatment plan which includes patient strengths/preferences. Establishes a plan for regular contact with each patient to review progress and assess the potential for additional needs.
Maintain extensive knowledge of federal, state and local assistance programs and community resources that affect patient needs.
CRITICAL SKILL/REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with patients who have suffered from trauma, abuse, and chemical dependency. Experience working with the healthcare needs of underserved populations.
Must have reliable transportation in order to get between sites, if necessary
• LCP, LPC, or LCSW licensure
• At least 1 year of experience with drug and alcohol treatment/education, including opioid use disorder preferred
• Experience and expertise providing drug and alcohol assessments/determining appropriate level of care preferred
• Experience in a health care setting helpful
• Experience utilizing the DSM-5
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus
Compensation:
$23.56/hr to $31.88/hr
Salary range commensurate with education and experience.
