Required Skills:

•Interpersonal verbal and listening skills are required to communicate effectively with patients and families and with other clinicians and patient-care personnel.

•Analytical skills are necessary for the collection and assessment of psycho social data, interpretation of these data, and the ongoing review of treatment efficiency and effectiveness.

•Visual ability is needed to observe patient behavior and to review and prepare written documents.

•Knowledge of and ability in the care and handling of older adults is required, including consideration of the special needs and behaviors of that age group or groups.

•Looking for a person who can work independently by collaborating with multiple teams. Successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills, able to stay calm and able to be appropriately assertive in building relationships in multiple long term care facilities.

•Experience, interest or training in working with a treatment team environment is important for success.

•Experience or training in gerontology is a plus, must at least have a desire to help improve quality of life in elderly individuals.

Required Experience:

•A master’s degree in the behavioral sciences required.

•LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania is required.

•The work requires a minimum of 5 years clinical experience in mental health in order to develop skills in patient assessment, treatment plan development, and the use of psycho therapeutic techniques.
