It has since been a leader in providing mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, and drug & alcohol treatment services to the communities we serve. We provide a wide variety of treatment services to those in need as our mission is to welcome and serve all those seeking wellness, renewal, and hope. We are seeking qualified applicants for a:
Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) in our Towanda, PA and Mansfield (Tioga County),PA Offices to join our growing team.
Job Summary
Certified Peer Specialists support individuals through personal advocacy, shared experience, and recovery process by assisting consumers to form and reach personal goals and objectives as part of their recovery. Ongoing training and supervision is offered.

Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities and Duties Include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting consumers with setting and attaining personal recovery goals
• Identify community supports and help consumers understand how to utilize resources in their recovery process
• Model coping techniques, self-help strategies and reinforce the potential for recovery to consumers and others
• Working autonomously while building and maintaining an effective work schedule
• Attending weekly staff meetings and individual supervisions
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism expectations

Hours/Days:
• Flexible work schedule
• Hours available - 15+ hours per week
• Required group meeting on Mondays
• Weekly Supervisions provided

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience qualifications:

• Self-identified individuals who have received or are receiving mental health services
• High school diploma or GED
• Act 33/34 and 151 Clearances
• 1-year work experience (paid or volunteer) within last 3 years
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing
• Current/Valid Driver’s License; Traveling Required; Reliable Vehicle and valid auto insurance; must have clean driving record
• Successful completion of Certified Peer Specialist Training
