We have an immediate opening for a Counselor. We can provide supervision if the applicant is not fully certified. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
Provide counseling to outpatient substance use disorder patients following professional standards, complete required treatment records as defined in the PA Code and the Dept of Drug and Alcohol Programs, cooperate with supervisors and peer counselors, comply with ethical standards of the counseling profession.
Pennsylvania Code Title 28, Section 704.7 mandates that drug and alcohol counselors must hold at least a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree with one year of clinical experience, an Associate degree with two years of experience, or full certification as an addictions counselor.
Counselor Assistant: An entry-level position for individuals without experience, who work under direct supervision (28 Pa. Code § 704.8).
