Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate counselor to join our residential treatment and halfway house program. This is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Recovery Specialist looking to advance their career or for a qualified professional with a passion for helping individuals overcome addiction.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to clients in recovery and conduct family sessions as needed
• Complete assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate level of care
• Facilitate group therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and documentation in accordance with program requirements
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed
• Collaborate with external agencies (Probation, CYS, court system, etc.) to ensure coordinated client care
• Identify and refer clients to additional services when appropriate
• Conduct utilization reviews with funding sources
• Perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor, Program Director or CEO

Qualifications

High School Diploma OR GED
Certified Recovery Specialist actively pursuing further education or credentials toward
becoming a licensed drug and alcohol professional, OR
Associate’s degree in a social or health services field with 2 years of clinical experience,OR
Bachelor’s degree in a social or health services field with 1 year of clinical experience, OR
Master’s degree in a social or health services field with 1 year of clinical experience
Degree must be from an accredited college or university
Acceptable degree fields include social work, counseling, human services, criminal justice, psychology, addiction studies, or related areas
Preferred: CADC and/or CAADC certification, or actively working toward certification
