Job Summary
The Addictions Therapist is responsible for providing confidential addiction counseling, education and support to individuals and families struggling with mental illness and chemical dependence. The Addictions Therapist will provide treatment inclusive of but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, psycho-education, case management, client advocacy and follow up care.
Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
State Licensure or Certification Preferred.
Minimum of one year experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor preferred, or a written plan to develop appropriate training in substance abuse will be implemented.
Valid Driver’s License required First Aid and First Aid/CPR certification required.
Must possess basic personal computer knowledge.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
