The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission is accepting applications for a full time Certified Recovery Specialist Position.  This position is for AICDAC's ARMOT Program (Warm Hand-off).  Position provides services in Armstrong County and in collaboration with the local Hospital and Physical Health Providers.  Certified Recovery Specialists provide supportive services to enhance clients’ recovery, to include but not limited to services in the following areas:  coordination of care; casework activities; and aftercare.

Responsibilities

Certified Recovery Specialists are responsible for ensuring outreach, mentoring, peer support and guidance, as well as resource information and referral, for clients in the target population.  Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program participants before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery, in understanding and navigating the system of care, as well as to encourage and guide any necessary connections with other service systems.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain CRS certification within one year of hire. Applicants will need to obtain Act 33/34 clearances upon hire.  Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
