JADE Wellness Center is a family owned and operated substance abuse treatment center with locations surrounding the Pittsburgh area. Offering licensed outpatient care is something who have come to excel at over the last 14 years. Most recently, we are looking to advance into new, barrier free, programmming. At this time we are looking to staff Certified Recovery Specialists for the all new JADE Wellness Center Access Immediate Medication (AIM's) program.
The JADE Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) will be an integral part of the AIM's treatment team. A CRS is a peer in recovery who has been trained to help others move into and through the recovery process. The CRS will serve in a case management capacity, coordination efforts between identified service recipients and formal and informal community-based resources and service to appropriately serve their needs and keep them engaged in care. AIM's CRS will work within the JADE COE. Particiapnts of the AIMs program will also meet with a physician monthly for medication for opioid use disorders as deemed appropriate.
Ideal candidate will have car and be able to rotate between our offices and communities within Allegheny County (travel is reimbursable as per federal regulations). Candidate must be ok with working 1-2 later evenings per week (until approx. 7p.m.).
- Provide clients with ongoing support through one on one, group, phone and community contact.
· Assist clients in acquiring tools and resources necessary to support long term recovery.
· Promote client attendance to treatment.
· Educate consumers during the pre-contemplative stage of their recovery.
· Introduce and link clients and families/support persons to community resources and peer support outside of the JADE Wellness facility.
· Attend weekly treatment team meetings.
· Maintain client records appropriately and accurately to reflect services rendered.
· Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
· Adhere to all HIPPA and CFR 42 confidentiality procedures.
· Maintain ongoing relationships with outside services to appropriate referral sources.
· Report directly to the clinical supervisor and/or the CRS supervisor.
· Acquire DDAP approved trainings defined in CRS personal training plan.
·Perform CRS intakes and complete care plans as identified by agency guidelines.
-Data entry as necessary in third party reporting.
· Work within Allegheny county jail and Allegheny county hospitals to provide support for those with substance use disorders and help acquire treatment, if desired.
-PCB Certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist, and all applicable trainings within 1 year of hire.
-18 months of maintained sobriety
-Excellent Communication skills
-Accurate documentation for reporting purposes
-Ability to demonstrate coping skills
-Ability to acknowledge and enforce boundaries with consumers
-Transportation and ability to cover a territory of all of Allegheny County.
Other Desired Qualities:
The CRS will have considerable knowledge of addiction treatment. The CRS will be familiar with Pennsylvania Department of Health Drug and Alcohol regulations, Confidentiality Laws and HIPAA mandates. The therapist will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to clients who are addicted to substances.
