Are you looking to make a positive difference in people’s lives? RHD is seeking Certified Recovery Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity to join a community-based case management/outreach team located on Main Street in Norristown that was developed in compliance with the Governor’s Initiative for the Center of Excellence to address the opiate epidemic facing our communities.
Compensation is $17.38 per Hour with a $3,000 sign on bonus; $1,500 upon successful completion of 90 days, and $1,500 upon successful completion of 180 days, plus FREE parking.

Program Summary
Montgomery County Recovery Center (MCRC) Center of Excellence (COE) is a Community-Based Care Management (CBCM) Team that was developed in response to the growing opiate abuse epidemic. We are a team of licensed, certified, and experienced professionals working together to assure that individuals and service providers can access services needed to support recovery for those suffering from opiate use disorders. While we do not provide treatment, we do provide a warm hand-off to the appropriate provider agencies and will work in conjunction with them to assure that individuals’ needs are being met.
Position Summary
The Certified Recovery Specialist is responsible for providing outreach to promote the principles of recovery, while working with the local community to engage individuals with opiate use disorders. The CRS will support individuals' engagement throughout the treatment experience.
*Engage individuals with opiate use disorder (OUD) in a trusting and supportive relationship.
*Promote the principles of recovery with participants and community providers.
*Create and individualize support plan for each person assessed.
*Regularly and directly communicate with the individuals' direct care team.
*Motivate and encourage individuals with OUD to stay engaged in both physical health and behavioral health treatment.
*Assist in accessing and navigating the behavioral health, physical health and criminal justice systems.
*Assist in identifying vocational and housing supports; as well as other social supports needed to promote recovery.
*Collaborate with administrative staff regarding required outcome data.
Requirements
*Knowledgeable about Substance Use Disorders and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment)
*Certified Recovery Specialist Certification
*HS Diploma/GED
*At least 2 years working with others in Substance Abuse Recovery preferred
*Maintain 18 credit hours of additional training each year.
Required Education
*High School Diploma
*Certification for CRS or CRFS
*Must have knowledge of Addiction and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment)
*Ability to navigate multiple systems and be able to multitask
*Knowledge of community resources
*Must have reliable transportation
