Perry Human Services is seeking to hire a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS). We are the only drug & alcohol outpatient facility in Perry County. The CRS works directly with the counselors in our office. Full-Time position with benefits. Mon, Wed & Fri 8am-4pm; Tues & Thurs. 12pm-8pm. Sign-on bonus with first pay and after six months of employment. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance and PTO.
- Provide substance abuse recovery support services to recovering individuals in order to prevent relapse and promote recovery, including clients in Perry Country Prison
- Vivitrol Coordinator for Perry County
- Assist prison inmates in transition to home, halfway house, etc.
- Assist counselor with prison group
- Assist clients with daily life activities such as obtaining health insurance, finding meetings to attend, and related activities to support long-term recovery and sustainability
- Collaborate with counselors, caseworkers, probation officers, etc.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality to the highest standard
- Other duties as assigned
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- In recovery minimum of 18 months
- Current CRS certification (or will obtain certification within 2-3 months of hire)
- Self-motivated, organized and able to set boundaries
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and car insurance, ability to transport clients if needed
- Working knowledge of the drug & alcohol treatment system
- Strong communication, speaking and writing skills
- Must live locally in Perry/Cumberland Counties or within a 30-minute drive
