About us
Exeter Medical Alliance is a new, 100% virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) treating adults with substance use disorders across Pennsylvania. We're physician-led and currently completing licensure with the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP). We're looking for a founding clinical leader to help us launch and grow.
This is a ground-floor role. We're launching with a small census and will grow deliberately. Hours start light and scale with the program. If you have a full-time position elsewhere and want meaningful flexible or evening work, this could be a great fit.
Required: DDAP Clinical Supervisor qualifications (28 Pa. Code § 704.6)
Pennsylvania requires every clinical supervisor in a licensed drug and alcohol program to meet state qualifications. For this role, you'll need:
A master's degree or higher from an accredited college in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or human services), or a related field, and
At least 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, including at least 1 year working directly with people with substance use disorders.
Also required by DDAP:
Supervision training. If you haven't worked as a clinical supervisor for at least 2 years, you'll need to complete a DDAP-approved core curriculum in clinical supervision. We'll support you in completing it.
Addiction training. If you have less than 2 years of direct substance use experience, 6 of your required first-year training hours must focus on addiction.
Ongoing training. At least 12 hours of continuing training each year.
Supervision meetings. Documented monthly meetings with the Project Director during your first 6 months.
Also required
Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania license: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or licensed psychologist
Comfortable delivering care via telehealth and working in an EHR
Working knowledge of ASAM Criteria and 42 CFR Part 2
Preferred
CAADC or other addiction credential
Prior clinical supervisor or lead clinician experience
IOP experience
Already credentialed with Pennsylvania commercial payers (IBX, Highmark, Aetna, UPMC)
The role
You'll be our Clinical Supervisor: the clinical backbone of the program from day one.
Provide individual and group counseling by live video
Complete intake assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and ASAM-based treatment plans
Oversee clinical documentation and sign off on treatment plans and discharge summaries
Lead weekly clinical case conferences
Help refine our clinical policies, curriculum, and referral network
Supervise additional clinicians as the program grows
