Abraxas I is hiring Drug & Alcohol Counselors to work with adolescents at our residential facility, located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest, near Marienville, Pennsylvania. In this role you will directly assist youth in developing a strategy for recovery to support a clean and sober lifestyle and BUILD BETTER FUTURES.

Drug and Alcohol Counselors: Earn From $18.48 - $26.51 per hour

Earn up to an additional $15,000.00 a year by participating in our Workforce Development Training Program for our students. *

Bonus: $5,000 Sign On Bonus*

Shift: Varies - both Day (7am -3pm) and Evening (3pm - 11pm)

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Provide direct supervision, leadership, and serve as a role model to clients while interacting in a therapeutic and meaningful manner.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while shaping the course of treatment for assigned clients.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
Complete required documentation, such as progress and court reports, discharge summaries, treatment plans, etc.
Participate in case consultation, treatment reviews, and other multi-disciplinary meetings for assigned clients, including court hearings.
Communicate and maintain regular contact with families and referral sources to provide updates of progress.

Qualifications

Hiring Requirements:

C.A.D.C. or National Certification; OR

Current licensure in the Commonwealth as a Registered Nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and one year of counseling experience; OR

Associate degree in related field (e.g., chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, etc.) and two years of clinical experience; OR

Bachelor’s degree in related field and one year of clinical experience; OR

Master’s degree in related field.

Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to pass physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
Must pass criminal background check investigation.
