RASE Project is currently seeking an enthusiastic and articulate individual from the recovery community to fill the role of Education and Advocacy Coordinator. The Education and Advocacy Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the RASE Project’s Educational Trainings, In My Own Word’s Speakers Bureau and Advocacy Activities. Duties entail creating, updating and facilitating educational trainings relating to addiction and recovery, and maintaining a bank of speakers who have participated in the RASE recovery messaging training. These training and speaking engagements are to be facilitated throughout Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York Counties. Establishing and maintaining rapport with professionals and individuals from the recovery communities in these counties is essential to this position. An average of 30 professional trainings and 30 speaking engagements are delivered per fiscal year. This individual will also assume the role of the media liaison and will answer any inquiries from the press/news media. Frequent attendance at advocacy events locally and on Capitol Hill as well as attendance at local town hall meetings and other recovery related events are primary functions of this position.
