Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate experiential group therapy in residential programs.
Facilitate psycho-education through the use of lectures, sculptures, and other modalities.
Provide primary care services including case management, assessment and aftercare planning.
Provide customer service in relation to clients, referral sources and other departments within the Caron continuum.
Assist in promotional and marketing efforts, through customer relations (both clients and therapists), outreach, and presentations, as required and defined by the Clinical Director of Breakthrough.
Provide psycho-educational presentations outside of Caron as assigned.
Integrate within and clinically support other Caron rehab units as assigned, providing group therapy, individual, couple, and/or family therapy sessions.
Participants in local and regional variety program development and implementation and presentations as required by the Clinical Director.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work extended hours.
Must be able to travel by plane and other forms of travel as needed.
Must be able to deliver presentations that may be both multiple times and for lengthy time periods.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to climb stairs. 

Education:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, creative therapies or a related discipline required.
A minimum of one year experience facilitating experiential therapy preferred.
Professional licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW/LSW or a related field preferred.
If recovering two years of uninterrupted sobriety preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to facilitate various modalities of therapy including cognitive, experiential, psychodrama and Gestalt preferred.
Knowledge of and familiarity using attachment theory and family systems theory in clinical work and case conceptualization.
Knowledge and skills necessary to effectively work with individuals with PTSD, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Dissociative Disorders preferred.
Knowledge of 12-step recovery fellowships.
Must be computer literate and able to work with most Microsoft applications.
Must have fluid communication skills and the ability to document insights and observations in a clinical record.
Must possess a high degree of professionalism and be able to keep confidential information, and treat sensitive clinical information ethically.
