Treatment Access and Services Center is a nonprofit drug and alcohol organization located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. For over 35 years, our mission has been to help individuals attain treatment and recovery from addiction as an alternative to incarceration. Our Certified Recovery Specialists help individuals overcome the barriers commonly found in the early stages of addiction recovery.

We are currently seeking additions to our team of Certified Recovery Specialists to support Treatment Court participants living at the Specialty Court Recovery Housing program at the Reading YMCA. The ideal candidates have prior experience working with persons with substance use disorders and know how to help individuals create and follow recovery plans. We need help on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts on weekends and holidays, with additional weekday shifts available at times. Pay differential included!

YOU MUST BE A PERSON IN RECOVERY FROM A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION. Preferred candidates have attained the CRS certification.

Job Type: PRN
Pay: $20 - $24 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week with regular opportunities for additional hours if interested

Responsibilities

- Provides peer-to-peer recovery support services of the Specialty Court Recovery House Program.
- Facilitates daily recovery-oriented group sessions with house residents.
- Meets regularly with the Specialty Court Recovery House program director and intensive case managers to ensure continuity of care and program compliance with each resident.
- May collect random urine specimens, conduct room searches, provide access to medications, and facilitate group educational sessions at the Specialty Court Recovery House as needed.
- Maintains strict adherence to confidentiality requirements and ethical standards during interactions with clients, family members, referral sources, etc.
- Enters case notes in online documentation system.

Qualifications

- YOU MUST BE A PERSON IN RECOVERY FROM A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION.
- Preferred candidates have attained the CRS certification. Must be eligible for certification (high school diploma or GED and 18+ months in recovery).
