PHS has been in existence since the mid 1970s. We are a small non-profit providing several services to Perry County, with our main focus being substance abuse outpatient counseling. Our team, which includes an in-house CRS, provides caring, compassionate care to clients. Applicants should have experience with and/or understanding of rural life in small counties.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual counseling for those struggling with addiction and conduct family sessions as needed.
Provide assessments/evaluations for substance abuse diagnosis and determine appropriate level of care.
Facilitate groups.
Maintain all required records, clinical charting and all other services required for treatment and care of clients and ensure that all paperwork is done in an accurate, clear and timely manner.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans when appropriate.
Facilitate possible interventions for crisis-oriented services.
Coordinate with other facilities (Probation, CYS, legal system, etc.) as needed for client care. Evaluate client needs to determine if other program or facilities are needed.
Client caseload will include criminal justice clients which includes male prison population.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in social or health services field with 2 years clinical experience: OR
Bachelor's degree in social or health services field, with 1 year clinical experience: OR
Master's degree in social or health services field with 1 year clinical experience.
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Acceptable degrees include, but are not limited to: social work, counseling, human services, criminal justice, psychology, addiction
Preferred: CADC and/or CAADC or actively working toward certification.
