Gaudenzia is hiring (with signing bonus) for the position of Substance Abuse Counselor at multiple locations throughout Harrisburg, Ashland and Pottsville, PA. Applicants must have minimally, 1 year of relevant work experience and knowledge of trauma-informed care. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Primary responsibilities include completing evaluations, clinical assessments, screenings, biopsychosocial histories, individual treatment plan, maintain electronic record, conduct individual and group sessions based on the clients' treatment plan, monitor client progress, assist clients with developing a discharge/continuing care plan and follow up with the clients after discharge.
Successful candidates will have earned (at minimum) an associate’s degree in the Clinical/Mental Health field such as Clinical Psychology, Counselor, Addiction, Human Services, Social Work, etc.). Applicants must meet DOH DDAP licensing standards and must have (or be working towards) a Certification as an Addictions Counselor (CAC, CADC) or State Licensure (LPC, LCSW) is preferred. Applicants must have working knowledge o and should have minimally, 1 year of experience.
