The Group Facilitator is an individual whose role it is to facilitate community based support groups. The groups will provide resources, treatment referrals, refusal skills, recovery support and education. The Facilitator will serve as an educator, advocator and referral source for individuals and youth at risk.

Responsibilities

• Prepare group lesson plans, prior to group
• Establish rapport with youth participants
• Assist individuals to navigate various systems;
• Model appropriate recovery behaviors at all times;
• Explore, recommend and refer individuals to appropriate programs;
• Prepare monthly and weekly reports on program status and accomplishments;
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Program Supervisor;
• Develop rapport with referral agencies such as: treatment providers, detox programs, specific to the group population.
• Compile annual reports

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High School Diploma or GED
• Recovery: minimum of two (2) years uninterrupted recovery. Recovering individuals must be actively involved with recovery program, attending meetings weekly, working with a sponsor, demonstrating levels of improved balance in their lives, ability to establish healthy boundaries, serenity, etc.
• Attend trainings and conferences as deemed necessary by Program Supervisor and CEO.
