As a Vocational Rehab Peer Support Specialist, you’ll empower individuals on their mental health recovery journey through authentic connection, hope, and practical support. If you’re passionate about lifting others up and helping them build meaningful, self-directed lives, this is the role where your story truly matters.

The Vocational Rehab Peer Support Specialist is a Certified Peer Specialist who supports individuals in their recovery through advocacy, skills training, employment support, and coordination of services, meeting biweekly with a caseload of up to 20 clients. It includes documenting progress, facilitating groups, re-engaging members, and maintaining peer certification. Services remain person-centered and focus on helping individuals build recovery skills and utilize community resources.

Responsibilities

General duties include but are not limited to:

general Peer support duties-connecting clients to services and resources
linking clients to educational resources
contact with county stakeholders-connect with the County Peer Coordinator monthly
completion of service plans
documentation using an EHR (Electronic Health Records system)
assist clients in job readiness preparation by resolving any employment barriers such as transportation system use challenges, resume completion, etc.
develop a profession network of hiring manager and recruiters to present clients as potential candidates

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or general equivalency
Completed approved CPS certification by PCB (Pennsylvania Certification Board)
Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel to meet with clients
Basic computer skills are needed
You will work full-time, in the community and onsite at our Career Center Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm
