Lenape Valley Foundation is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our Bright Path Center, where you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Your lived experience, empathy, and recovery knowledge will help others feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate their path forward.

Responsibilities

As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will use your lived experience to provide trauma-informed, person-centered peer support within a crisis environment, helping individuals feel safe, respected, and empowered.

*Provide peer-based support through lived experience within the Bright Path Center
*Support individuals through one-on-one interactions, emotional support, and engagement during crisis situations
*Assist individuals in navigating services and accessing community resources
*Promote a safe, welcoming, and trauma informed environment
*Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
*Transport individuals to appointments, community-based services, and recovery supports as appropriate
*Promote recovery-oriented language and practices across the program

Qualifications

*Active PA Peer Specialist Certification
*Self-identify as an individual in recovery from a mental health condition
*High School diploma or GED
*Within the past three years has maintained:
Minimum 12 months successful work or volunteer experience OR
Earned at least 24 credit hours at a college or post-secondary educational institution
*Preferred experience with the following:
Supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse need
Crisis services, behavioral health, or recovery settings
Knowledge of community resources and peer support networks
*Strong computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
*Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and willingness to drive throughout Bucks County
*Ability to document effectively in an electronic health records system
*Physical ability to meet job requirements (with or without accommodation
