The Bucks County Justice Center Assessor/Case Manager will provide case management services to adult and youthful offenders, to include Act 53 cases (involuntary commitment of adolescents by the judicial system). The position is located at the Bucks County Justice Center as well as at the Bucks County Administration Building, both of which are in Doylestown, PA. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required.

The Justice Center Assessor/Case Manager is responsible for:
• Conducting screenings/assessments as requested by the criminal justice system and/or BCDAC, Inc.
• Acting as a liaison between the courts, correctional facilities, treatment providers and BCDAC, Inc. Interactions will include, but are not limited to, Drug Court,
Mental Health Court, Veteran's Court, Act 53, Jail Intervention, District Court Diversion Program and Pre-Trial release programs.
• Provide technical assistance, including interpreting substance use disorder mandates and regulations identified through the Department of Drug and Alcohol
Programs, the County of Bucks and BCDAC, Inc.
• Attending hearings, trials, and other judicial proceedings as needed
• Developing reports, presentations and other written documents as required
• Providing education and training to County and community partners on various topics, including substance use disorder, drug trends, recovery support resources
and harm reduction.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Hold a degree in a related field (Psychology, Drug & Alcohol Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, etc.), with a minimum of 3 years of experience,
preferably working with individuals dealing with substance use disorder(s) who are involved with the criminal justice system.
• Possess a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies are needed, as are excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
• ASAM Level of Care certification is required (or candidate must currently be in the process of earning the certification)
• Pennsylvania licensure and/or certification (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, CADC, CAADC) is required (or candidate must currently be in the process of earning the
license/certification)
• Experience in working with diverse populations.
