Merakey is looking for Certified Peer Specialists to join our Philadelphia Team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) will provide recovery support services for persons in recovery (PIR) receiving MMT, MAT, and non-MAT services.
Meet with PIRs on demand and via scheduled appointments providing effective recovery support services.
Assisting as needed with high levels of care and reinstatements.
Facilitate CRS groups regularly as assigned.
Daily monitoring of program’s Resource Room.
Work at the Front Desk and upper lobby desk as needed and as assigned including early morning shifts and weekends.
Set up tables in the lobby to provide resources, educational material, provide surveys and basic assessments.
Effective and timely communication with Supervisors, Counselors, and Case Managers on PIRs needs and as resources or obtained and/or changed.
Ability to educate and encourage resistant PIRs to participate in therapy services.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Must possess a High School Diploma/GED.
Must be Certified as a Recovery Specialist.
(1) year of experience working with persons in recovery (PIR) preferred.
Must have, in the last three (3) years maintained at least twelve (12) months of successful part-time paid or volunteer work experience or one (1) of post-secondary education experience totaling twenty-four (24) credit hours.
