PRO-A is currently seeking a full-time CRS, or a Peer Recovery individual, to work as a Recovery Employment Coordinator in the Lancaster and York County areas (CRS not required for hire). The position is part of a five-year Grant to assist individuals with a substance use or co-occurring disorder history and who are unemployed or underemployed. The position is available immediately. The peer specialist working in this position will assist individuals with a substance use and/or co-occurring disorder with employment, as well support all areas of their recovery. Responsibilities include developing collaborations in the community, increasing employer engagement, and connecting individuals to employers. In addition, the role includes identifying and alleviating barriers to employment and assisting individuals in their individual recovery process. Documentation and reporting are also required.
The peer applying for this position should be an individual in recovery, although a CRS Certification is not required upon hire. Time management skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
