Summary & Qualifications:
Provides ongoing care for clients in the Residential Recovery Programs and gives support and structure as · needed. Observes client behavior during evening and weekend hours and reports observation to professional staff.
Know unit rules and regulations.
Assist nursing and counseling staff in maintaining program schedule.
Check for new consults. Notify consults to be done
Room checks-check beds made no food in room, clothes in closet, no clutter on dressers and desks.
Help chart vital signs of clients
Recognize inappropriate behavior and intervene as necessary Chart updates
Complete clothing list on new admission
Notify departments for special tests
Monitor urine collection
Inspect packages brought to the unit.
Notify admission of daily census
Assist with serving meals
Assist group leaders when necessary to assemble patients for group activities on or off the unit.
Escort community treasurer to business office for money pick-up and deposits. Make commissary runs on Monday and Thursday.
Answer phones and take messages
Facilitate or co-facilitate group activities as per schedule
Bring charts to Medical Records within 24 hours of patient's discharge
Attend scheduled staff meetings
Give report to addictions recovery assistant coming on duty.
Know the patients who are put on contract and assist them I keeping their contract
Record I documentation book stating only the fact-not opinions-and method of intervention
*High school diploma or GED required with knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery
Programs
*12 college credits in Behavioral Health/Human Services preferred
*Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) desired.
