Responsibilities

. Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs. Responsible for detail resident logs. Listens to residents concerning all areas of house rules and expectations. Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for residents including crisis intervention. Coordinates activities including outings, recreation, and AA/NA meetings. Monitors house rules, level system and curfews. Helps clients obtain AA/NA contact and sponsor. Attends shift change and company meetings. Attends trainings as necessary. Transports clients as assigned. Monitors hygiene and medical needs. Helps with upkeep of facility. Trains new staff on unit, program, and milieu. Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input. Assisting with interventions with residents. Responsible for conducting searches of clients when they return back to the facility. Assists residents preparing meals and snacks. Responsible to shop for food and supplies with residents. Clerical duties as needed. Assists with activities of daily living as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Capable of role modeling to the residents. Helps to maintain a strong sober living program. Staff able to work together to effectively meet the needs of the residents. Maintains positive relationship with residents and be seen as a good role model. Complete required trainings.

Qualifications

Strong skills in D&A and mental health or housing sober living program or facility. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/ group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving. Maintains professionalism and does not show favoritism. Maintains consistency with residents, staff, visitors, and the public. Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately. Flexibility and adaptable. Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner. Calm and decisive in crisis situations. Ability to sustain a team environment. A working knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality. Valid Driver’s License.
