Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (SAMHSA/CSAP), the Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT) provides training and technical assistance to support the efforts of SAMHSA prevention grantees—including states and their communities, jurisdictions, and federally-recognized tribes and tribal entities—to prevent and reduce substance abuse and related behavioral health problems.
The CAPT has an opening for a Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) Associate, with another (second) T/TA Associate position opening later this week. The individuals in these positions will work 100% on CAPT Southeast services—that is, services designed to meet the foundational and advanced learning needs of the prevention workforce in the Southeast region including serving 10 states and 2 jurisdictions: Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Washington DC, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. These services are delivered both face to face and virtually (webinars, peer-sharing calls, and other online channels) and are designed to promote participant engagement and interaction. These positions report to the Southeast Resource Team (RT) Coordinator, must live in the Southeast service area, and work preferably out of EDC’s Washington DC office.
