Gateway Rehab has an opportunity for a full time Recovery Specialist.
This is a 1 year grant funded position through the Center of Excellence. The position provides information and opportunities for recovering individuals to direct their own recovery and advocacy processes. Teaches the utilization of skills needed for recovery and promotes knowledge of available services. Arranges referrals to community programs and agencies while helping the individual develop a sense of wellness and self-worth in the recovery process. The work schedule is primarily daylight with some evenings shifts but may also include weekend hours as needed. The position will involve frequent local travel to inpatient and outpatient Gateway facilities and other community agencies.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Understanding and personal experiences with addiction and recovery required.
Valid Driver’s License with a favorable driving record required.
FBI, PA Criminal History, and Child Abuse clearances required.
*If not certified upon application, the individual will need to get certified while employed with Gateway Rehab.
