PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver group intervention services to substance users/abusers or affected significant others, as well as case management services to persons in the Drug and Alcohol Program and to facilitate educational oriented groups. All services must be provided and documented meeting the requirements of the Allegheny County Contract. All services are provided in accordance with the agency’s Vision, Mission and Values.

WORK SCHEDULE:
37.5 hours per week. This position may require evening and Saturday hours. Changes and/or additional hours must be approved by direct supervisor. The schedule is designed to meet program and consumer needs.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Provide psycho-educational sessions, including group and individual sessions, as appropriate to substance users/abusers or affected significant others in order to critically evaluate their substance use and the negative effects of their behavior on their personal, family and societal development.
• Provide case management services to D & A clients, including referral, linkage and advocacy functions. Case management requests may come from other D & A staff or the clients.
• Complete all required screenings, evaluations, consents and documentation.
• Provide follow-up contact with intervention clients within 3 months.
• Provide couples psycho-educational sessions as assigned.
• Conduct family psycho-educational sessions as assigned.
• Document in an accurate and timely manner all interactions with, or on behalf of, the client. Complete all paperwork and documentation in Qualifacts as required by State and County regulations and agency policies/procedures.
• Abide by Federal, HIPAA, State and County Drug and Alcohol Confidentiality Standards.

Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service Field. Two years of experience working directly with persons with substance use problems.
Child and FBI clearances. Valid PA Class 1 Drivers License
