The Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission is accepting applications for a full time Certified Recovery Specialist Position. Position provides services within Armstrong County and will be based out of our office in Kittanning, PA. Certified Recovery Specialists provide supportive services to enhance clients’ recovery, to include but not limited to services in the following areas: coordination of care; casework activities; and aftercare. Certified Recovery Specialists are responsible for ensuring outreach, mentoring, peer support and guidance, as well as resource information and referral, for clients in the target population. Certified Recovery Specialists work closely with program participants before, during and after their treatment experiences to support and assist them in their recovery, in understanding and navigating the system of care, as well as to encourage and guide any necessary connections with other service systems.
